February 26 – Train Town

train

Fort Collins has 3 sets of tracks running through town. One set goes down the middle of a street in downtown.

There is *talk* of moving the freight east and running a passenger train from Cheyenne to Denver to Albuquerque.

Decomposition Graveyard at the CSU Environmental Learning Center. We stumbled upon this while walking around the ponds near school. I didn’t know that it takes 3-4 years for a banana to decompose!

I guess now is the time to tout the book I’m reading: The Big Necessity: The Unmentionable World of Human Waste and Why It Matters

You’ll be riveted. Trust me.

dixon

It was midmorning when I took this and the color isn’t as strong as I’d like. i tried to get the reservoir, the foothills and the dam that holds in Horsetooth Reservoir. The ice is mostly gone, although snow and cold are predicted for this weekend.

February 5 – It’s love

true-love1

Personal Commandments

See the big picture. (and get a shot of it!) Step up. Give back. Do something different. Make a lot of mistakes, but never the same ones twice. Be ridiculously happy. Action, not reaction. learn, laugh, love.

Haba na haba, hujaza kibaba.

Be the Change!
